Dad's Been Busy!

Hello friends
Do you reckon Summer has been and gone??
Outbreak of sun yesterday then more rain.
On Friday night it turned so cold I was nearly tempted to pop the central heating back on!

Thankfully the weather does not deter my Dad from his woodworking.
He has been busy making new pokey tools with matching holders.
These are lovely and look wonderful on a craft desk.
Also saves your pokey tool rolling away and having to search for it...
or is that just me?
I like all the little ripples/notches - I'm sure there is a woodwork term for those!
There is a collection in light wood and just a few in darker wood,
they are available on the website here.
Also back in stock is Build a Tag One and Build a Tag Two.

Bird On A Wire also restocked -
this has been my most popular and fastest selling die to date!
For those of you who subscribe to the Newsletter, please check your inbox
as July's edition went out on Friday - an offer is included too.

Finally this month's Charity Kit...I haven't forgotten, it is nearly finalised -
been a busy month so far.
There is still some tag ones left from last month in case you missed it.
I'm in the shop today, although it is closed I'm locking myself away in the craft
room and creating!

Take care friends - keep those brollies up!

  1. Hi Christine. So sorry to hear that the weather is being unkind to you! We are staying with family in Torquay. We got here Friday and it was hot and sunny, yesterday was just a little cooler with some mizzle but still very much shorts and t shirt weather.(this weather is unusual when we come to visit various family members during the year, we have talked about selling ourselves out as rain bringers because that is what we normally have while down here! : )
I love your Dad's work, one day I will decide what shape will be best for my dodgy hand to hold then I will order one : ) Hope you manage to get lots of crafting done today. Take care.

  9. Morning Christine, Your Dad is such a talented person, I love his pokey tools, I am so envious as I have always wanted my own lathe to 'turn' the wood, I too love all the ripples etc, they look gorgeous.
We had fabulous sun yesterday and managed to get my front and half of my back garden done before the rain started, but it didn't have an effect on the temperature, the night was so hot and muggy, bring back the sunshine I say !!!!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  12. Good morning Christine
Yes the weather here is extremely wet although it is very hot too. Just the right weather for wandering around a craft show.
Your Dad's pokey tools are amazing. I have one and a holder (although I use that for holding my fine glue applicator). It is brilliant - so comfortable to use and looks beautiful on my craft desk too. I think I could do with a second holder so I know where it is.
Enjoy your day in the shop.

  13. Love the pokey tools-your Dad should be getting a fan club at this rate. The weather in Southport has been great, rain yesterday evening/night, sunshine again today but a breezy day. Perfect for getting my washing dried!

After a couple of heavy downpours early this morning, I'm pleased to say it is now dry! Certainly won't need to water the garden later 😃
I love my pokey tool which Dad made early on. It looks as though you've been keeping him busy, making more with a holder... very handy!
    Have a lovely, crafty day.

  20. Hello Christine. I wonder if we might be able to order the stands seperately? I have already bought two of the pokey tools and really love them, but two is possibly enough. Would love the stands though. xxMargaretxx

  22. I love your Dads work, I have one of his pokey tools and the glue holder, am wondering if the ones with the stand are made to go with each other or if I could just by another glue holder ? Hope you didn't work too hard x
