Hello friends
Today I announce the arrival of Perfect Layers!
These nifty tools have been on order from USA for what seems nearly as long as the
Tool n' One! (Glad to say the Tool n' One is also in stock).
I am delighted to have both sizes of the Perfect Layers -
you can see what they are all about on the website here.

How about a bit of a 'Throwback Thursday'...
(I keep hearing this expression so adopting it myself today)
two projects from quite a few years ago - both incorporating canvas, Foliage,
Grand Labels Four is the outer card shape and Classic Scallop.
spritzed with some glimmer mists.
So a bit Autumnal when we are actually in Summer but with our weather it's
always tricky to know what season we are in!
Enjoy your day and please stop by tomorrow - Friday again!
Take care friends.

And a wall plaque...
You will see I've cut foliage from felt and also used a die cut as a mask for the background, spritzed with some glimmer mists.

Love my perfect layers! Never get a true cut, whatever trimmer /guillotine I use, but with these I get perfect matting..
ReplyDeleteGood morning Christine
ReplyDeleteI too have the Perfect layers tools and they are brilliant. I used to struggle getting my mats and layers even but these little rulers make that they are always perfect. I would recommend them to everyone.
Enjoy your day
Lesley
I've got these too, and they do what they say, create perfect layers in a range of different sizes. Love the projects too, I haven't seen these before.

ReplyDeleteMorning Christine, 2 gorgeous projects, love the use of the hessian and felt, adds great texture. Emma
ReplyDeleteGood morning Christine,
ReplyDeleteCan I just ask a really daft question, I know all of you lovely ladies have the 'tool n one' does it work? I only ask as I frequently use dies that need endless poking out after each use, the grand decorative ovals for one and the decorative grand squares, they both have some quite stubborn areas to poke out, the tool looks like a dream solution, but are the bristles strong enough to poke out the bits! I end up with a trail of die 'waste' all over the house, as on some days it can seem like I am ankle deep in bits, I then go to a different room leaving a trail, so holding a die cut over the bin and rolling over it a couple of times sounds ideal! So I will await your feedback, thank you in advance xxx
Looking forward to FDD tomorrow, where has this week gone?
Hugs to all
Sandra xx
Great ideas again Christine, I wish I could afford all the grande dies!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas again Christine, I wish I could afford all the grande dies!
ReplyDeleteHello Christine. I love the perfect layers. I got them when they were at the CHA show ages ago and oh boy are they useful. If not cutting out mats they are great for drawing round and making inked borders. Very cloudy today and your projects make me feel autumnal indeed. Come back summer please! xxMargaretxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Christine, both cards/tags are lovely. I too often use the card that I've die cut from as a stencil. Lovely effect. Janice x
ReplyDeleteI like these, especially the wall hanging. Who would have thought that hessian could be made desirable? I am considering Perfect Layers. When they first came out I couldn't really see the need, but I'm doing much more matting and layering these days and they look like a time saver.
ReplyDeleteAfternoon Christine, I love the Perfect Layers rulers, I have the large ones, but the mini ones would be very handy too.
ReplyDeleteI love your card and plaque, very autumnal, but I'm enjoying the summer while I can hahaha !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Christine. Two super projects today, I like them both! Yes Sandra, the 'tool n one' really does work and is brilliant ~ I wouldn't be without it now. Hugs,

Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteI love my perfect layers. I have the small set as they are just right for my card making. I got them a while ago from Joanna Sheen for a great price of £12.99 with free p&p. I wouldn't be without them as I'm useless at cutting anything straight and level lol. xx
Hi Christine lovely project to day,and seeing you using loser Dies.I am incline to forget I have them

Hi Christine. Both your card and the wall plaque are really pretty, and yes they do make me think of Autumn and it was chilly enough for a couple of hours earlier today. Luckily it warmed back up and has been lovely for the rest of the day : )
ReplyDeleteI love my mini Perfect layers, they really do work, so quick and easy to use.
I Hope you had a good day in the city. Take care.
Lovely throw backs and great to hear you have the perfect layers xx hazel
