Gingham Pink!

Hello friends
I was asked recently to re-feature this project -
my iPad cover made from an Ikea tea towel!
They are purchased in a pack of two, £4.75 which is handy as one is for the outer pattern,
the other for the lining.  You will see the hanging loop doubles as a closure.
I basically made a long bag and added some wadding.
The fun bit was decorating it with felt die cuts -
butterflies, Spiral Blossoms and Foliage.
Fabri-Tac is superb for keeping everything in place (less sewing then too!)
It need not be an iPad cover, it could be a jewellery case, cosmetic bag,
the list for recycling tea towels could be endless!

Some new goodies have arrived in the shop - pretty totes (with butterflies of course!)
new Card-io stamps, sets of miniature stamps to create
beautiful effects and backgrounds -

I have the acrylic stamp pegs/rods too.

Stop by tomorrow - FDD (goodness it comes around quickly!)
Take care friends.

  3. Morning Christine
Your ipad cover is so pretty. I can't believe that it started life as teatowels. They look far too pretty to use to dry dishes.
The sun is shining here today and I hope it is for you too.

Talking of summery, it is lovely and sunny outside. My washing is out on the line, hanging basket watered and it is not quite 7.30 am. I will be tired when I get to work, hehehe.

  10. Hi Christine. Great idea, using tea towels is so much cheaper than buying material and you get an original item : ) Such a pretty cover and the flowers are gorgeous. I am off to have a look at the new goodies, no doubt my wish list will be longer afterwards : ) Take care.

  17. Hello Christine. How clever of you to stock the card-io stamps. I fell in love with them at a stamp show and have been using them ever since. When you need a quick card they are magic as the patterns grow so quickly. I think I'd rather use new teatowels! xxMargaretxx
