Cycle...

Hello friends

How was your weekend?
Despite the grey clouds yesterday we had a bbq - goodness I ate far too much!
I think I should probably rush out and do some exercise, perhaps a bike ride...?

Today's crafty offering is the card I made for my Dad,
he does cycle so very appropriate.
Now the eagle eyed will notice that the fencing (Wrought Iron) is running uphill a little,
this crafty error is made when you are busy nattering, I chose to make this card at
Saturday's Knit and Natter - I do that a lot..nattering!
My favourite Sprigs is featured, the tag is created with Back to Basics Tags and the
Bicycle is cut twice, brown and cream and overlaid to add extra dimension.
All simple done with the various die cuts and I would say quite speedy..
if I didn't chat so much!
Have a lovely day and stop by tomorrow for Tuesday Tip/Technique.
Take care friends.

  1. Good Morning Christine,
Great card for your dad - the die cuts are beautiful. I don't think the fence is too noticeable - your are too honest!
Our BBQ was a wash out here in the North West. So we had a "grill" instead.
    Enjoy your day

  2. Hi Christine,
Love your Dad's card, I think I need to borrow his bike too. We had a BBQ too but eat inside as it was a bit chilly, we had a lovely day though. Looking forward to Tuesday's Technique.

  4. Hi Christine
I just bet your Dad loved this card ,i wouldn't have noticed the slight up hill slant if you hadn't have mentioned it ,i like the little DAD Tag hooked over the fence and the leaves are lovely .

I think you and i would get on real well as my Nattyboots name was given to me for a reason .

    Take Care

  6. Hi Christine. Love your Dads card: )Layering the brown over the cream bike really makes such a difference, I will definitely remember that, thanks for a great tip : ) We also had a BBQ, sadly it wasn't as hot as it has been! Never mind, at least it didn't rain : )
Have a good day. Take care.

  12. Morning Christine,
A lovely card for your special Dad, bet he didn't notice the fence.
What a pity the sun didn't shine yesterday, I think a lot of families were having BBQ's, we all went to our eldest daughter's and she made a great big paella it was lovely.
    Looking forward to T.T.T. day.

  13. Good morning Christine,
Lovely card, I bet your dad loved it, it's nice to get something a little more personal than another off the shelf card!
You wouldn't have noticed the small discrepancy if you hadn't pointed it out! But that's the problem with being a perfectionist!
Looking forward to 'tip Tuesday' already
    Hugs to all

  15. I'm sure Dad liked his card Christine, even though he might have to cycle up hill.

I woke up to a bright, sunny day, the first for at least a fortnight. Amazing how much it perks you up after endless dull days.

  16. Hello Christine. So glad you weren't actually making your dad cycle up hill. Chattering is essential to a happy life so if the card goes a bit wonky - well, so what! I bet your dad loved it anyway. xxMargaretxx

  21. Great card for your dad. Thanks for showing us. The 'uphill' fence can easily be explained - it IS on a hill!
Shame we seem to have lost the sun for the time being.

  24. Evening Christine, So glad you managed your BBQ, I managed to do next doors garden for her yesterday, as on Saturday after I did mine and was going to do next doors the heavens opened, and I spent this afternoon in my back garden, and now my back is aching like mad haha.
Your card for your Dad is lovely, and the sprigs are there too, I'll bet your Dad didn't even notice the fence was going slightly uphill.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
