Hello friends
You was expecting a flower wasn't you?!
I thought I would mix it up a little bit and bring you something else this
Friday Die Day.
Today I'm featuring Wrought Iron - a Die D-Lite and incorporating it in a card (not a tag!)
This is how it looks cut/embossed.
This is how it looks cut/embossed.
I'm making a simple design card, the papers are Graphic 45 - Secret Garden.
Cut a piece of the script design to fit behind the Wrought Iron fencing.
Cut/emboss Sprigs and insert so it looks like it is growing...
I've used one of the tag dies from Back to Basics Tags, looped it over the top of the fence!
The stamped sentiment is one of Marion Emberson's stamp sets - It's All In The Words.
The card base, cream linen cardstock with a piece of green patterned paper - again,
Graphic 45 - Secret Garden.
Affix the decoration to the bottom section.
Tiny little flowers...
and black pearls to the middle.
Wrought Iron looks especially nice cut from Spellbinders Craft Foils -
Precious Metals - particularly for wedding/anniversary cards.

ReplyDeleteHi Christine
ReplyDeleteDie Friday comes round so quick, and yes I was expecting flowers. Love the wrought iron. The paper reminds me of a window blind. Not to sure why though. Glad that Elliot did so well with this MRI scan, and what a wonderful gesture to him the Harry Potter books.
Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to see that Elliot is doing well. It must be such a worry for you. I'm sure he will enjoy the books I certainly did.
I have taken to doing your 'wrapper for a bar of chocolate' lately. A quick and effective way to give a small gift. One went to my granddaughter at uni in Bath, one to an aunt who is recovering from a fall and now working on one for my grandsons to give their mum on Sunday, along with the card and flowers. Feel quite pleased with myself - thank you for the inspiration x
Morning Christine, Wow !! Congratulations to Elliott, what a fabulous surprise, bet you are 'over the moon' and well done !!
ReplyDeleteI have all these elements you have used in your card, it is gorgeous, lovely and fresh, love the idea of the tag looped over the wrought iron, brilliant.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Afternoon Christine
ReplyDeleteWOW FDD comes round so quick but do I spy a tag.....
Love it.
