Friday Die Day!

Hello friends
Yes it is Friday again and this Friday I'm going all starry!
It is Stars Five.
A very classic shape that has got me out of trouble so many times
when I need something masculine!
Although for the purpose of FDD I've gone all pink!

(Varying quality of photos today as at one point my camera battery died and
I had to switch to my phone!)

You receive 5 nesting die templates with this set.
Here they are cut/embossed.
An alternative to just laying them flat is to score from each point to the middle,
fold gently to add dimension.
Place two 3D Foam Squares inside to adhere to your project.
With the help of the Magnetic Placement Mat you can nest two die templates together
to create a star frame.

 Here comes the tag....
A manilla tag with a rectangle of white card using
Twisted Hearts M-Bossabilities  folder.
Little bit of lace and pink card.
The star frame affixed in place.
I then added the dimensional star with the smallest star placed in the middle.
Twine and a little stamped tag are the finishing touches.
And don't forget to look behind....
To cover up the ends of the lace and wrapped twine, apply a piece of card to
the back to create a pocket.
A close up shot.
Stars Five - a classic and extremely useful shape - they are available here.
Take care friends and have a brilliant weekend.
What are you up to??

  7. Wow what a fab tag and I love the way you have made the star dimensional! I don't have this set as yet, but can see how useful it would be and looking at the flat pack would never have thought to use it like that. I think it brings a whole new reason to get it! Hugs and happy Friday, Carole Z XX

  8. Morning Christine, A beautiful tag, loving how you have made the star dimensional, I would never have thought of that !! and so useful having the pocket at the back. I love it.
I am in the throes of having my multi-fuel stove taken out and a new one put in at the moment, I have had to retreat to the conservatory, and my cat Lizzie was so indignant as she was nicely settled on her cushion on the sofa when they arrived, she has had to 'slum it' in front of the calor gas heater now haha.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  15. Hi Christine
love Friday die day. I looked at your heading and thought. Christine is getting ahead of herself. Then realized it actually was Friday. I know when Monday and Tuesday are, as I help out at our primary school on those days. But the rest of days seem to merge into one another. just love how you've made the star dimensional and put it on a tag. hope you have a lovely weekend.

  20. Well I've had those stars forever, one of the first die sets I bought, and I'd never thought to raise them up, or cut frames, so thank you for the ideas.

  23. Hi Christine. As always you have shown us a new way of using a die in a different way...thank you : ) Love the tag. Hope you all have a good weekend. Not sure yet what we are doing, apart from giving our Bearded Dragons (Dot Dot-male and Junie-female, named by our 4 year old Granddaughter before we found out that we had the sexes the wrong way round. Junie was Junior, but couldn't think of a male name that was similar to Dot!)They love the bath and to be wrapped up in a towel afterwards for a cuddle believe it or not : ) Take care.
