Monday already!

Hello friends

I hope you all had a good weekend, it was rain, rain and a bit more rain here -
good excuse to craft!

I'm still serving up Christmas!
This magazine should be out in the shops this week.
It comes with papers, stamps, toppers, cut outs and more.
I have a big batch of festive projects in this one!
Just to tempt you here is one today...
The Create A Flake snowflakes are always so beautiful, wonderful on their
own or layered.

To answer a few questions - Maddie asked about the papers used for the card
in yesterday's post - they are Dovecraft 'Tis The Season'.

Maddie also questioned when do I get chance to do housework?!
Truth is, I don't do as much housework as I used to!
Thankfully my home is tiny so an odd hour here and there keeps it presentable.
Elliott is pretty good at wielding a duster and Mitchell has the job of hoovering!

Pat mentioned the Recipe Notebook kit - there are still some available,
I made sure I made a few extra :)
The blog post with the PayPal button can be found here.

Thank you so much for your support - I know I keep saying it but I
mean it sincerely - tomorrow a slightly different blog post as I want to really
express my thoughts and thanks to you all.

Take care friends.

  1. Morning Christine, today's card is bright and cheerful but I'm not a fan of 'Xmas', I much prefer the complete word.Pleased to hear that 'team Emberson' has housework under control at the VT! Hope the sun shines for you today, take care, Maggie xxx

A very cheerful Christmas card. I agree with Maggie 'Christmas' is so much nicer than 'Xmas'.

  4. Nice bright Christmas card. I don't know if it's the miserable weather, but I am begining to at least think of Christmas. I couldn't do it whilst it was hot! JuliaTx

  6. Morning Christine, Ditto with the weather, we had rain, rain, and even more rain, it just seems to have changed season overnight here, it is chilly too.
A really lovely card today, I actually made a Christmas Card yesterday, normally I'm doing them in December, because I want to 'fend off' that part of the year for as long as I can ha ha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  7. Morning Christine, can't say good today as it is dull, grey and rather damp. Summer is really over. So unfair.

So now I have no excuse not to start my Christmas cards.

But first its housework morning, get it over and done with.....

    Take care, Mary, xx

  8. Morning Christine,
I'm with Maggie I prefer Christmas, love your bright and cheerful card. As for housework I have a domestic called "husband" he does all the grotty jobs that I hate, can't get him to do the ironing though.

  11. Hi Christine

Love today's Christmas card. I love Christmas paper. However, not the double sided as some of it's to nice to use. I've some that I bought in Colchester 3 years ago that I still haven't used. Thanks for the info about your kit still being available. Monies paid and I'm now waiting for the postman. Glad the boys do their stint of housework. Good training for later on in life. Take care.

  20. Hi Christine,
I got a lot of crafting done, too. But we needed the rain, soil's too dry.
What a cute Xmas card - I MUST get cracking on mine again, just as soon as I get the birthday ones out of the way.
I like the way you raise your boys, I'm a firm believer the kids should contribute to the household - it gives them balance.
But nevertheless, well done Elliott and Mitchell.
    Best wishes, Rose

  21. Hi Christine. Have caught up with your post from yesterday as I was camping over the weekend with our Scout group. (The weather was actually very good, much drier than fotcast! Only a little rain on Friday and Saturday during the night so we were VERY lucky!) I love the mittens paper. (I am in the Christmas not Xmas camp) Good to hear that you ALL share the house work. You are bringing up two well rounded young men that way. Their future partners will thank you. Hope Mitchell and Elliot are both enjoying college. Take care

  24. Good morning. The sunshine is back again although it's got a definite autumnal feel today. What's housework? So long as the children lend a hand it makes light work of it, when I can't put it off any longer! Lovely card today with a real folksy feel. xxMargaretxx By the way, we don't need thanking. Just glad if it's helpful in any small way to know that we send our love and support. xx

  27. Hi Christine
Will have to get a copy of the magazine; like the card you have featured.
You are lucky to have two young men who are able to help around the house, especially as you are such a busy lady. I don't know how you are able to cram so much into your daily schedule. Anne x
