Vintage and Butterfly!

Hello friends
Managing to do a few more blog posts at the moment - that's me keeping busy!
Again - huge thanks for the wonderful comments yesterday,
Elliott reads them all too and is blown away by everyone's kindness.

As promised today's project is much more 'me' !
At the Retreat we were asked to make our own name badges and I
obviously went for something with a butterfly - I used Papillions Two and added an odd earring I had for the centre - works well if you are rushing and cannot lay your hands on a sparkly gem or brad!
I also used those little flowers I adore from Homespun.
I had the metal embellishments in one of my odd boxes - I knew they would come in handy one day.
I will be back soon and importantly to announce the winner of Decorative Dress Forms.
Take care friends.

  19. Hi Christine
You need not have put your name on your name badge, as your style has your name written all over it and of course with the butterfly for the finishing touch its just beautiful.

Im sure time is dragging for Elliott so please give him a big hug from me .

    Take care both of you

  32. Wow Christine that name badge is beautiful, it just proves that these things we hoard do come in handy ! I thought it was just me getting old, I have started keeping empty jars, particularly if that have a slightly different shape and then there is plastic containers, it's getting worrying, we will have no recycling soon!
How is Elliott feeling? I expect he just wants the whole thing over so he can get on with his life, let him know we are thinking of him and send him big hugs x

  34. Hi Christine, naturally you would have to use a butterfly, otherwise it could be any "Christine's" name tag!..lol. Its beautiful, and has given me an idea to use the copper scratch card to make those metal corners :). Enjoy your day xxx

  35. Hi Chris, I like the way you have chosen blue and pink for your flowers rather than a colour that tones in with the background. It makes them pop out and become a focus. Janice xx
