Friday Die-Day!

Hello friends
It's Friday and today's Die-Day is featuring....
When I first saw this die set I was impressed by the amount of dies - you get 13 
(lucky for some in this case!) and how useful it would be for so many projects.


Here they all are...

And here they are cut/embossed, I've stencilled one of the wings so that you can see the beautiful detail.
 
 Here I've cut/embossed the wings using waxed paper, it looks so effective.
 Now a little idea/technique using shrink plastic.  For those of you that haven't used shrink plastic I can guarantee it takes you back to being a kid, we used to shrink crisp packets in the oven...do any of you remember doing that?
I've stamped onto the shrink plastic using a script stamp and StazOn ink.
 I then used the heart and tag shape from the Home Sweet Home set, 
it cuts perfectly with your Grand Calibur™ 
 Using a heat gun (mind your fingers!) apply heat to the shape, it takes on a life of its own,
curls, twists and just at the point when you think.."this hasn't worked!" ....
It flattens.  
You then have a tiny hard plastic shape which you can use as an embellishment, jewellery and more.
Just before I go I will share with you a tag I created in about 5 minutes using the demonstration die cuts, I think it would work well tied to a new home gift.

    Hi Christine,great tutorial and your tag looks great! Love the shrink plastic and yep I did experiment with the crisp packets too.they were made into key rings!
    Have a great weekend and just think if you don't have to work on a bank holidays, you only have to work Wednesday next week!

    Hi Christine, I love your "Die Days" because seeing the images cut out makes it a lot easier to be able to tell if we would use them on our cards/scrapbooking..:)..Didn't think I would use these, but after seeing your tag, they will definitely go on my wish list!..Have a great weekend with your family...xx

    Hi Christine, how innovative are you making that tag, it is wonderful. I think it is excellent set of dies, I just love the wings and that little heart button is my favourite.     Hi Christine,
    I love the idea with the shrink plastic, that idea would be lovely to create our own buttons too, just colour before shrinking and then you can create to match your project.
    I have been looking at a couple of sets that have wings and still have not decided which one to purchase. I am desperate to have some wings in my die arsenal. Can you tell me the actual size of these wings please when cut?
