Sixteen

Hello to all my friends,
Today a scrapbook layout and that lovely lady in the photo is my Mum!
She was aged 16 when this photograph was taken and she had already met my Dad,
they proceeded to get married at a very young age.
They are still together and are a true testament of love, I adore them both.
So, my layout..what have I used...??
I used My Minds Eye - Lost and Found Madison Avenue papers to create a vintage, sepia look.
Each month I prepare a scrapbook layout for Spellbinders and once I decide on my design I really enjoy having the larger 'canvas' to work on.
I am returning home this evening from my trip away and I promise to share photos.
Also coming up...my blog is having a makeover, a super talented lady, Laura Jane Design Studios is going to be working on a new design for me..I was asked if there was anything in particular I liked, was known for, etc..it only took me a millisecond to mention...butterflies!
I'm unsure whether my blog will be out of action for a day or two but I will give you notice,
just in case you wonder what I'm up to!
Hope you are all having an enjoyable Bank Holiday.
Take care,

  16. Hi Christine
how lovely of you to share this beautiful L.O. of your Mum & the story behind it. I know full well that true love does exist, & it doesn't matter how young you are. I met my lovely husband when I was !7 got married at 18 & we are still going strong 45 years later. An old aunt of mine told my Mum it would never last, as we were much too young, how wrong was she lol.
Hope you had a lovely time yesterday.
    hugs

I hope you had a lovely weekend away< Downton Abbey was partly filmed in our neighbouring village Bampton, it was amazing to see the lengths they go to set the scene and get the atmosphere of the era right!
I hope the Bank Holiday weather didn't hamper your visits!
