Butterflies (again!)

Hello friends,
Some time ago I purchased this frame (The Range) with the intention of sorting through some photos.
Instead, I struck upon a different idea, use each photo aperture as a base for
butterfly pictures.  I chose a very neutral patterned paper for the backing
and then cut and embossed Wonderful Wings for the larger butterflies.
I decided they should come over the edge of the aperture so they look
more like they are flying.
I placed tiny pearls on their bodies which still allowed me to
position the glass back into the frame.
Obviously I'm butterfly mad but this would work just as well with flowers or indeed
other shapes.
Back tomorrow friends - hope you are all having a good week.

  24. Beautiful idea, frame is really lovely, complements the butterflies. I did a similar layout to this using leaves I had made by capturing threads and using hot water dissolve to shrink them, then dividing them up over the three appertures. Your frame reminded me of it, I must find out what I did with it! Thx Alison :)
