Hello Blogland friends,
Today I have a layout to share with you that I created a little while ago but now seems poignant.
Over the last week or so I've been thinking about moving home, leaving my little VT for something more rural,
I'm not sure whether it will happen just yet but it is in my future plans.
It reminded me that I created this layout.
The photo is the cottage that is featured in the film 'The Holiday' which is beautiful but tragic
to think it isn't real! It's actually a mock front that they placed in a field - so clever but yes...sad!
I chose to use some chipboard snowflakes as masks and used Classic Hearts as a feature.
I know this is a very winter themed layout and we should be thinking about Spring
but here the weather has been awful! Bella and I nearly got blown off our feet walking yesterday!
Back tomorrow, take care friends.
Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cottage. Fantastic layout.

Lovely layout Christine, what a wonderful home.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous layout Christine and so is the house, even if it's not real! We are semi-rural here and often think of moving those extra few miles to a country cottage...our hens would love it, though they have a huge garden as it is! Carole X
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cottage that would be my dream home .Melanie
ReplyDeleteThat would be my dream too, gorgeous page Christine :)

Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteYou cannot beat living in the country. Come May and June there is nothing nicer than the smell of new-mown grass. We have our picnic suppers in the fields when we are loading bales and its a great time to rest and appreciate the night sky. Anne x
Looks idyllic, even though it's not real. Lovely layout. Did I spy a butterfly in there too or am I just seeing things....
ReplyDeleteThe Holiday is one of my favourite films and I had no idea that the cottage wasn't real! Lovely layout Christine.

ReplyDeleteHi christine,
ReplyDeleteThis LO is beautiful !
Its always good to have plans for the future, just aslong as we dont keep them on the back burner for too long
Did you see how they actually did the cottage ? I follow a blog that has all the gen and pics, rather like a tour, of all the movie houses..
Have a nice day , hope your little family are all well and l look forward to having you in my lounge hehehe in the not too distant future. I really enjoy your shows, you always create a nice cosy atmosphere while demonstrating...Its like crafting with friends !

Lovely layout, we all secretly wish of our 'dream home' rose covered cottage cottage!!
ReplyDeleteWe are due to move home in the next few weeks....'nightmare' its such an upheaval, but part of our lives as my husband is in the armed forces!!
Can you remind us of the date of your tv appearance, so I can make plans to ensure I don't miss it.
I wonder also if anyone can answer a query for me, I mainly use my G Calibur but also have a Cuttlebug and I would very much like to buy a Tim Holtz Sewing Room die but first would like to know if it would fit through the Cuttlebug??
Many thanks & Crafty Hugs to all,
Sandra xx
Just love this layout. The Holiday is one of my favourite films and I didn't know that the cottage wasn't real! Love, Julia xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeletethis is a lovely layout, a perfect celebration of a dream home and your bunting is adorable. I don't think I know the film you have mentioned so I will have to look it up. I can't believe that house is a front only though.
I hope your prep work for Monday is well in hand, I think we are all looking forward to it.
All the best Linda
