Take one window box, plant ivy to the middle section allowing it to trail profusely, purchase half a dozen or so Winter Pansies, make sure they are sturdy looking plants to withstand the chilly night air. Plant three each side of the ivy and within a short time you'll have a nice balanced attractive window box.... alternatively... plant six and three will be flattened by the cat who thinks a window box is a mighty fine place to spend the day!!!
