Black and Silver Thank You and Top Tip!

Hello friends

Forgive my blog timings, I meant to type this last night and schedule

but I got busy (distracted) with lots of things.

So better late than never here's a black and silver card.

I've used lots of matting with black and silver foil card

and then using the Glimmer and hot foil plate 'Thank You' with silver foil.

Simple and I think suitable for a gentleman.

This is one of the hot foil plates designed by Paul Antonio and

I really like this jaunty script.

Now onto a top tip!

If you've purchased a Glimmer Hot Foil System and accidentally foiled

your thin shim (like I have!) fear not, it can be put right.

Sticky Stuff Remover works perfectly.

Cover the foiled area with the liquid and leave for about 30 minutes.

Use a sponge scourer to remove.

Rinse well and it looks like new.

Right, heading to my cabin but beforehand making good use

of this bonus sunshine and walking Bella.

Warm Winter Wishes and Happy Birthday 10%

Hello friends

OK so it's not Winter but it's definitely feeling cooler especially at nights,

we are a far cry from those blistering hot days we had recently.

Today's crafty gold offering is Warm Winter Wishes,

one of the hot foil plates for the Glimmer Hot Foil System.

(I should mention that the plates work in other systems too).

I've teamed my design with Hemstitch Ovals,

 I think we have one left in stock, everything 

Hemstitch sells out quickly.

The dotty paper is a scrap box find, matted with Merlot

cardstock and gold mirror card.

A couple of snowflakes to the corner for extra embellishment.

It's quick to make and that shiny snowman certainly takes

centre stage.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Welcome to this week's Friday Die Day.

This time I'm featuring one of the new Expressions stamp and die sets,

from the Indie Line.  This is Enjoy.

The set consists of 2 dies and 6 stamps.

Approximate measurements:

Dies: Outline: 3.50 x 1.85 in 8.90 x 4.70 cm
Enjoy: 3.30 x 1.65 in 8.40 x 4.20 cm

Stamps: The Little Things: 2.10 x 0.30 in 5.30 x 0.80 cm
This Special Day: 2.00 x 0.30 in 5.10 x 0.80 cm
Life & Have Fun: 1.90 x 0.30 in 4.80 x 0.80 cm
Your Birthday: 1.80 x 0.30 in 4.60 x 0.80 cm
The Moment: 1.50 x 0.30 in 3.80 x 0.80 cm
Today: 0.80 x 0.30 in 2.00 x 0.80 cm

Firstly using one of the Anna Griffin papers (available on the website)

I die cut a square and mounted onto an ivory card base.

Wrapped around twine to the centre and fixed in place with Crafty Foam Tape.

Using the die I die cut the outline from silver mirror card and the 

sentiment from ivory card.

Stamped one of the messages and cut with my trimmer.

The assembled message.

I placed this to the card centre over the twine.

It's the little flowers!

It is a real phase I'm going through...

Once the flowers were inked I clustered them around the 

message.

I'm not normally a yellow/lemon person but I'm quite fond of this!

Happy birthday splash!

Hello friends

You know how gold foiling can lend itself to elegance,

indulgence and quality?  Well...this is another take on it,

bright and fun!

I've used Faux Script Happy Birthday and Heart Flourishes hot foil plates

over a wash of Distress Oxides on watercolour card.

It sort of looks like a painting palette or my lounge with tester pots!

I then matted with foil card and found a bright sunny background patterned paper.

Again, really simple to do with effective results.

If you are someone who creates charity cards or cards to sell,

these can be generated with speed!

With this one, I've used a paw print stamp first and then 

blended distress ink.
