Thursday Giveaway

Hello friends

Holiday Greetings to you!
Well it's not too far off now and 'Holiday Greetings' is the name of the die
that I'm giving away today.
This is the die that I featured when I made a chocolate bar wrapper recently.
It is extremely versatile as you can use the whole die or just sections,
the fall out pieces are handy too!
Just leave a comment on today's blog post and a winner will be announced next week.

I've been busy in my cabin again, this time making the design boards for Create and Craft shows
that are coming up.  And of course, there is Friday Die Day tomorrow...

Special thanks to those who have sent me a birthday card,
I'm really touched that you remembered and they have pride of place on my mantelpiece.
Celebrating quietly this year with my family and a takeaway - no-one should cook on their birthday!

Take care friends.

Back in the swing of things...

Hello friends

After approximately 10 hours sleep I nearly feel normal!
Always good to get back to your own bed and cuddly dog!

If you've followed me on Facebook you will have seen quite a few photos of my
trip to Phoenix but here are a few that I don't think I've shared.

Included in our trip was a visit to Spellbinders HQ.
On the tour I sneaked into Greg Tipsord's office - he is the CEO of Spellbinders,
I was thrilled to see that opposite his desk is a framed picture of one of my cards!
This is the card... it highlights the cut, emboss, stencil.
The dies featured are Butterfly Corner.
Pictured below is David Ruprecht (my new boss) and Stacey - yes, David is very tall!
As well as working and having fun, the week was also about bonding with fellow designers.
My roomie was Linda Lucas - you couldn't wish for a nicer lady, I miss her already.
I also got to spend time with Christina Griffiths - again, such a nice lady.
Christina is the face of Spellbinders on Create and Craft and watch out for her soon -
she has a lot of shows coming up.
Yesterday found me back in my cabin and Bella is determined not to leave my side!
Also, the outside of the cabin is having some special treatment - guttering is going up.
Mitchell was helping out - love the hat!
Mum has been busy placing winter pansies in tubs and baskets - it looks so lovely
and I am very happy creating there.

A little update of my time away - Spellbinders are such a generous amazing company,
the whole trip is inspirational and I've come back raring to go!

To celebrate my return I'm sending you on a 'die hunt'!
Somewhere in my website I've gone completely bonkers and reduced particular dies
down to ridiculous prices - take a peek and see what you think :)
Little clue...it's all 'D-Lite-ful'!

Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

Home...

Hello friends

I'm home and goodness me I'm jet lagged!
It feels far worse coming back than going out there,
or maybe that's because I was having such a brilliant time and I've come back to grey skies and rain!

It was a fantastic retreat, lots of fun and we learned so much.
Let me just leave you with a photo of us all in the classroom with Stacey at the helm.
I have SO much to show/tell and as soon as the horrible jet lag disappears I will be sharing it all.
Stop by tomorrow - normal blog posting is resuming!

Take care friends.

Having an amazing time....

Hello friends

Blogging from Arizona where I am having a wonderful time. Sharing some photos with you today and I promise there will be more! It has been so good to spend time with Christina Griffiths, she's such a lovely lady.

We have had the opportunity to go shopping and it feels so strange to see Christmas decorations when the temperature is boiling!

I will be returning home about ten stone heavier as the food is delicious and one portion would feed a family of four! And did I mention the sunshine, yes it is the desert and this is what you can mainly buy at the garden centre!

More photos and news soon - I wanted to stop by and say hello.

Take care friends - I'm back soon.

Gifts for the Team

Hello friends

I gave a little tease last week of the gifts that I would be taking out to Phoenix for
the team.  Time to share the full photo!
They are Christmas Puddings!
I wrapped a strip of hessian/burlap around each pudding box, added twine,
a rather fancy spoon (all kept in place with 3D Foam Squares)
Foliage and Scalloped Labels One are added and a jingle bell.
I shall have melodious luggage!
I've been told they do not have Christmas Pudding the States so I thought
it would be nice for them to try.
You could adopt the same design on your Christmas parcels this year,
I'm thinking of just using brown paper and then adding the same decorations
minus the spoons!

Take care friends and hope you are all having a good week.

Going away...

Hello friends
Time has truly caught up with me .....
.
I thought I could stay up half the night and schedule blog posts but I must be getting old!
I'm hoping you will all forgive me if I have a little blog-break while I'm in Phoenix.
I may be able to blog while I'm out there so pop back now and again just in case.
If you are a Facebook follower then definitely stay tuned, I intend to upload photos there.
While I'm away the beautiful Victorian dies will be available on the website
so take a look, I've really tried to keep the prices as competitive as possible.
These are such beautiful dies, I created the aperture card below using
Victorian Medallion Two and Flutter Love.

And if the intricate Victorian dies are not your cup of tea,
please browse the Shapeabilties section - some of the very new trendy dies are listed there,
chevrons seem to be quite a hit right now.
Thank you for all your kind wishes, I'm going away with a happy heart and
not worrying about housework until I get home!

Take care friends.
