Leather Effect and Giveaway!

Hello friends
Today I would like to introduce you to Angela Dodson who is a
member of the Papermill Design Team.
She has created these two lovely projects using the limited edition
leather embossed card in buff and white.
A clever handbag.
And a wallet with faux stitching.
The card really does look like leather!
I am pleased to say that I have a limited stock of the leather effect card in buff and white
available in the shop - sold in small boxes - £5.00 white, £4.50 buff.

Now - for those of you who cannot make it to the shop I thought I would arrange a giveaway
of some of the leather effect card.  Really simple, just leave a comment and I will pick
out a few names next week.

For more brilliant projects be sure to check out Angela's blog here.

I'm heading off to Faversham this morning - The Artistic Stamper,
today is Spellbinders Create A Flower class.
Really looking forward to spending the whole day creating.

Enjoy your Sunday and don't forget to leave a comment.
Take care friends.

Raindrops....

Hello friends
You may have already seen this card if you are a member
of the social media world - Facebook, Twitter etc.
I created it for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L,
taking part in their blog hop with Avery Elle stamps.
I've used Grand Squares to layer the card, opted for a combination of grey and bright pink -
(grey skies with the brightness of one bright pink brolly!)  Card is Papermill.

I liked the idea of using crystal gems to represent the rain.
The tag is Back to Basics Tags.
A simple design enhanced with dimension using 3D Foam Squares.
The full blog post is here.

Enjoy your Saturday, I'm getting ready for my Create A Flower class at The Artistic Stamper
in Faversham tomorrow so I will be in the shop all day, call in if you are passing.

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Friday Die Day is here and today I am featuring ....Shoot!
This is one of Spellbinders® In'spire Line dies.
There are 5 die templates in this set - the sizes are:
Arrow 1: 1¾ x ¼”
Arrow 2: 2 x ¼”
Arrow 3: 2¼ x ⅜”
Arrow 4: 2½ x ¼”
Arrow 5: 2¾ x ⅜”

This how they look cut/embossed.
Today a card, stamped the front of the card with script - this is from the Textures stamp.
I then cut/embossed three Classic Hearts from red cardstock,
aligned them vertically.
Selected three of the Shoot arrows and placed them across the hearts.
I particularly like the one with the mini heart in the middle.

The Shoot die is available on the website here.

For those of you who were wondering when my June Jamboree project is going to appear
on the Spellbinders blog...it should be later today!
There was a change around with dates - keep your eyes peeled and
I will also feature it on my blog too.

STOP PRESS!
It has now just appeared on the Spellbinders blog...you can view it here.
And here is a little peek :)

Thanks for stopping by today - have a wonderful weekend, fingers crossed for sunshine.
Take care friends.

Perfect Layers and Throwback Thursday

Hello friends

Today I announce the arrival of Perfect Layers!

These nifty tools have been on order from USA for what seems nearly as long as the
Tool n' One! (Glad to say the Tool n' One is also in stock).
I am delighted to have both sizes of the Perfect Layers -
you can see what they are all about on the website here.

How about a bit of a 'Throwback Thursday'...
(I keep hearing this expression so adopting it myself today)
two projects from quite a few years ago - both incorporating canvas, Foliage,
Grand Labels Four is the outer card shape and Classic Scallop.

And a wall plaque...
You will see I've cut foliage from felt and also used a die cut as a mask for the background,
spritzed with some glimmer mists.
So a bit Autumnal when we are actually in Summer but with our weather it's
always tricky to know what season we are in!
Enjoy your day and please stop by tomorrow - Friday again!
Take care friends.

A Crafty Space

Hello friends

Today I'm featuring Janice's crafty space - wow it is packed with so many goodies!

Janice says:
You will see that I have two chairs, one is at my craft desk and the other is at my computer, however, when Rolo is in the room with me I have to turn one of the chairs around so that he is facing me and then he sits on it and goes to sleep!!
And here is the lovely Rolo in photos above Janice's desk.
Love the ribbon storage.
I had fun spotting the projects between all the craft items...
Advent frame on the top shelf that Janice made at one of my classes :)
And here are some more of Janice's beautiful projects.
Thank you Janice for sharing your photos.
More crafty spaces still to be featured and if you would like to share yours
please send a long photos to hope-chances@live.co.uk

Take care friends.

Tuesday Tip/Technique

Hello friends
Today is a little tip moving on from stencilling through the dies,
again I know many of you may already do this so forgive me if
I'm teaching you to suck eggs!
(No idea where that expression comes from - any ideas?)
I've cut/embossed Labels Twenty Two, kept the die template in place and inked
around the edges.
Still keeping the die template in place I've stamped straight over the top,
the stamping wipes off the die with a baby wipe/damp cloth.
A nice effect with a contrasting plain border/edge.
It swiftly got made into a tag...well, silly not to!
I have a real fondness for script stamps but try it with scrolls, florals and more.
I currently have a large stock of assorted stamps available here.
The felt flower is Jewel Flowers and Flourishes - another favourite of mine!
Take care friends.
