Printers Tray Weekend

What a lovely weekend I've had! I've been to a workshop at Pickleberry altering a printers tray.  It is going to be quite a long work in progress but I will enjoy filling every little space with curios and memories.  I attended six classes taught by the lovely Kate, Jane and Julie and learned lots of new techniques.

Using shrink plastic is addictive - you have been warned!
These are actually domino's - altered by alcohol inks, bit of stamping and embossing - they are great to do and so effective.
I'm off to raid the odd pot now to see what little lovelies I can find to put into my tray!

Chicken Soup - Recipe #20

Welcome all from a very blustery South East - the wind has howled for days and the poor trees have been stripped of their lovely autumnal leaves.  That neatly leads me to this week's inspiration picture chosen by Andrea.

I loved this picture with its silhouette and deep warm colours.
This is my interpretation.

Have a good week everyone.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (and the cats are back!)

Hello - happy Wednesday to you all.  Thank you for all my lovely comments and especially to those fellow feline fans who noticed that last week's post was missing something furry.  To make up for it two of them have decided to make an appearance!

Also pictured is my new paper storage unit - my Darling Dad has made this.  I sent him a picture and within three days it was done!  I love it - if I wasn't crafting in the conservatory where fading is a bit of an issue I would take the papers out of their plastic wrappings but at least this way they keep dust free too.

As for projects, there has been quite a few but they are under wraps at the moment - they will soon be featuring here
Also look out for all things festive coming this way with quite a mad amount of blog candy!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Hello everyone.  So this is everything dumped in a heap after returning home from my retreat.  I will get round to sorting it all but in the meantime here are a few of the layouts I made.

Remember to say hi to Julia and from there you can get link to so many other creative desks too.
Also swing by this place to have a nose at this week's challenge.  I'm a bit picture heavy and word light this week!  And... no cats pictured amongst my craft stuff!  They are still sulking because I dared to go away last weekend!

Take care everyone.

Chicken Soup - Recipe #18

This week the inspiration was provided by Mel, a superb album cover with a definite Picasso look to it.

And this is my interpretation....

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Not so much a picture of my desk this week, more to the left of it! So it wouldn't be a Wednesday without a cat featuring somewhere! As soon as the sewing machine came out of the drawer she was in there!
As for projects - well a couple of posts back I worked on my 'Home' plaque - my very clever dad made the plaques (all 27 of them, he sort of got a production line going!) and I went to town with the papers - Fancy Pants - Roadshow and Prima flowers.  Picturing the finished plaque here ...

If you've been a visitor to my blog before you may have noticed this week it has had a revamp - only took about 4 hours! I have a serious affliction of pressing the wrong buttons at the wrong time - sorted eventually.

I'm off to a scrapbooking retreat this weekend, three heavenly days of scrapping, eating, bit of swimming if I find the time(!) and a bit more scrapping.  I hope to get lots done and feature my pages on here soon.
Have a good week everyone - keep warm :-)
