Kent Show and New Friends...
It has been years since I visited the Kent Show so today I ventured there with my family and it was brilliant. The weather was perfect, we had a picnic and I was surrounded by farm animals, birds of prey, gun dogs and lots of interesting items to buy!! These are just a few of the friends I made today.... seriously friendly goat, the strange but beautiful alpaca and my favourite sheep.. never again will I complain of a bad hair day!

Fields of Gold...
There are some days when being outside is the best thing ever, breathtaking views and relishing that it is Summer. Today was one of those days and Bluebell Hill was the place. It was a day to think things through and be positive - a truly memorable walk.

Nearly Back to Normal....
My blog is not the only thing to have been ignored and abandoned recently (you should see the ironing pile!) but I am very glad to report that things are nearly back to normal. The hiatus in my day to day manic routine was being selected for Jury Service - I experienced just over two weeks at the Coroner's Court and it was truly awful. I truly feel I've done my civic duty so just a little plea to the 'powers that be'... please please do NOT pick me ever again!

Lovely Lawn!
It's done - hooray!! I have a new lawn. The saga of the VT lawn started years ago when the conservatory builders accidentally tipped a whole wheelbarrow of cement over it! No amount of grass seed could ever sort that! The weeds grew and gradually took over and what little grass there was became suffocated by a carpet of moss! But now after a day of toil (Mum and Dad you are stars!), skimming, raking (I've discovered muscles that I did not existed!) trips to the tip (thank you Mitch) - a gorgeous green lawn. I'm now going to start reading those boxes of weed and feed.... ;-)
