Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day features one of the new
Sharyn Sowell dies launched this week on Hochanda.
The collection is Great Big Wonderful World and this die set is
The approximate size of the die is:
3.75 x 5.25 in. 9.50 x 13.30 cm

It is a large die that fits a 5 x 7 card front.
This is what it looks like die cut as one piece.

I've chosen to snip it into three sections, discarding the middle piece.

My card - a 5 x 7 ivory card base, mats of chocolate brown cardstock
All affixed in place with E-Z Runner Grand.

I've positioned the pieces onto my card front and glued down.

I then positioned a bow - yes a bow!
Not sure what came over me as I rarely use bows!!

Finishing touches, little pearls and a decorative pearl to the bow
held in place with a 3D Foam Circle.

You can view the full collection here
and Love Grows is available here (special price at the moment).

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, I'm preparing
December's charity kit and then visiting my crafty friends in
Milton Keynes, what are you up to?

Take care friends.

Beautiful card and die set, Christine. Love the bow. Have a great weekend. I'm in the middle of stamping all my stamps to put into display books so that I can see what I have at a glance and maybe use them more. Enjoy your crafty catch-up xx hazel

Another very lovely and inspirational card Christine. can you tell me where you buy the pearl d coration in the centre of the bow please. I used to see them all over the place at craft shows etc. But now can’t find them anywhere. I’ve searched online too but maybe I’m not calling them by the right name? X

Hi Christine
A very pretty card and beautifully tied bow. I’ve missed the shows with these dies as I’ve been away in Copenhagen for a few days. My son treated us as a Thank You for everything we’ve done for him whilst he was at Uni. He has come out with a fantastic job and we are so very proud of him. Needless to say I will be recouporating from a nasty cold and sore throat courtesy of Ryanair.
I love Hazel’s idea with the stamps, I think I may be doing the same with mine too.
Have a lovely time with your crafty friends.
Chris xx

The pearl in the centre of the bow is a brad and actually from Poundland! I just trimmed off the metal pieces at the back and popped a 3D Foam Circle on to keep it in place.

That’s amazing, I would never have thought of Poundland. I’ve looked in The Works, The Range and Hobbycraft. Jean x

Hi Christine, A lovely card creation and a lovely bow beautifully tied, I don't use bows much these days either.
I hope you have a great catch-up. I'm off to a Foodies Festival tomorrow, hope the weather stays dry as it is like a 'mud bath' when it rains.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
