Also take a creative trip to Donna Salazar' blog.

For my project I've chosen to make a decorated canvas using an embroidery loop/ring.
I haven't done much sewing recently so thought I could adapt this for a fun mixed media project.
It was also a perfect chance to dive into the wonderful new Donna Salazar with Scrapbook
Adhesives by 3L products and get messy with a bit of paint too!

First off I discovered that Texture Ribbons die cut beautifully!
I cut out some hearts with the white burlap.
And also some with the blue cotton from the Canvas Ribbons.
These can be easily adhered with the new Dodz XL.
So here's my loop with canvas inserted. Looking quite plain until...
a squirt of white paint!
Spread this around just using a tissue.
Now the really fun stuff.  I used the E-Z Stars Runner - Refilliable, this dispenses little sticky hearts!
It's brilliant - you can dispense just one or tons!
You can also colour them, heat emboss - I've used the new Gold Pigment Powder and
spread this liberally over my canvas and stars.
Next I created a tag, adhered patterned paper with E-Z Runner Permanent Strips - Refilliable.
It was then a case of assembling all my items, some Kaisercraft - Forget Me Not die cuts,
adding a few flowers, pins and twine.
I like all the layers and textures - spot the gorgeous denim ribbon on the tag too -
available here in a set with lovely white stars design.

I like the idea of using the hoop/ring, will have to have a root around in my stash to find some of mine that I haven't used for ages.

Very interesting, I have several hoops that might be a good way to start. Love your finished hoop, and that you restricted your colour pallet, it's very co ordinated that way. Great idea to take part in the hop.

DELIGHTFUL décor piece Christine - LOVE IT!!!
I confess that decorating an embroidery hoop is still waiting on my list to try => you're right, Donna's delights are perfect for it, LOVE the combination of textures and shimmer!!! Die cutting the burlap - ANOTHER technique for me to try!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your CREATIVE INSPIRATION!!!

PS - I initially thought that I would use Donna’s products to add dimension, texture, shimmer and shine to my cards – WOW – I have been SO INSPIRED by ALL the projects & techniques shared during this Blog Hop that I am EXCITED at the thought of taking my skills to the next level and having lots of CREATIVE ADVENTURES, even getting OFF-THE-PAGE so that I can put my work on display and for gift giving :)

Love the colors you have chosen, and of course the stars.
I am going to be looking at my hoops (and those in thrift stores) very differently after this hop.

This is an original and very pretty project. Completely new idea (to me). I like these colours together - the texture ribbons and sticky stars look fantastic! I haven't made any home décor pieces at all, but I'd love to try.
Somewhat frustrated about the preference given to comments via the Rafflecopter App thingy. Not sure it's going to mean a lot to most of your 'regulars', including me!

Love the hoop you used, I inherited a lot of them and you have given me a great idea to start using them. Donn's denim line and the 3L adhesives shes helped create will be on my wish list for birthday and Christmas lists for my family. Love love love all the ribbon and DODZ and what can I say the Star Runner is to die for. I haven't played with pigment powders but I am going to try them soon. Thanks so much for all the ideas presented in this hop.
