Get Well Soon

Hello friends

It's that time of year when coughs and colds are in abundance,
so it's a Get Well Soon card today!
For the card background I matted green and white card and then used
A2 Modern Stationery dies to achieve the rectangles with opposite corners rounded.
The papers are Graphic 45 - Secret Garden .
The flower is Create A Rose - I love how realistic the leaves are with this die set,
the tiny veins look so good gently inked.
A little bit of lace, ribbon and stamped sentiment for the finishing touches.

I have Modern Stationery dies available in my Pre-Loved section on the website,
details are here.
Please note these are now sold out - that was quick!
More dies are being added to this section each week, so remember
to check back now and again.

Sandra asked a great question yesterday ... what inspires me to revisit older dies?
My favourite dies never really leave my craft desk so quite a few older ones are
always to hand.  As Sandra said, dies are a big investment and it's important that we get as
much use out of them as possible. I like to mix and match them with newer dies,
that's why you will always see Back to Basic Tags, Foliage and Sprigs being
used on my new projects!

Also good luck with your Bella (kitten) with her op today, our kittens had their
ops a while ago and it was all plain sailing.   They were each given the 'cone of shame'
to wear but that didn't last long (about 5 minutes!)
And this is Pixel - no longer a kitten, in fact a big bruiser of a cat!
So being the ridiculous cat lovers we are, we didn't tell him off for sitting on the
table...we took a photo instead! Well, it was Christmas! :)

Take care friends, back tomorrow for....FDD!

Great card. I love it when you feature older dies like you did on Tuesday (stars) as it reminds me of whats on my large collection of dies!

Morning Christine, beautiful card, I do have the rose die but never use it as I find it too time consuming having to cut all the dies out, I counted 26 times to go through the machine with die cutting and embossing just to create 1 rose and then I did not like it as it was way to big for me but looks very effective on your card.

Love the piccie of your cat, mine rule the house they go wherever they choose apart from the kitchen work tops lol!

Love & Hugs

Good morning Christine,
Lovely card today, that rose die is very 'real' looking!
Thank you for answering my queries yesterday Christine.
Thanks also for the Kitty advice, we are about to leave, poor kittens are both starving as they usually get fed at 6 am, but we can't feed Milo without teasing Bella, so I will feed him ad Paul takes Bella to the car, I feel so nervous for her, I hope she will be a good patient, Milo had his ' one of shame' off in seconds! But I is wound was invisible from day two, but as in real life we ladies don't get it easy do we! Xx
Crafty hugs to all

Morning Christine
Very pretty card today, especially for all the illness that seems to be around at this time of year. I don't remember seeing these stationery dies before. I make the same effect, but on a much smaller card or paper with corner rounders!
Enjoy your day in London.

Hi Christine. What a pretty card, it would cheer any patient up. I love the shape of the A2 Modern Stationery dies, like Janice I make the same shape on smaller card with a corner rounder, but think the bigger dies are needed. I am off to see if I can stretch to your pre loved ones, fingers crossed : ) Goodness me, I can't believe how big Pixel has got! Take care.

Hi Christine
Love today's card, especially the Rose. Your right, it does look so realistic. Pixel is lovely and looks right at home on the christmas table. Two of my daughters cats do that white no one is looking. Mind you they can also jump from the floor up onto your shoulder and wrap themselves around your neck. It certainly gives you a fright when you aren't expecting it. Hugs to all today. Hope work in the big city isn't to stressful.

What a beautiful card. Who could fail to feel better on receiving this? I like the A2 dies - shame they've all gone. I am a bit pleased with myself today as I've already made up my January charity kit and it looks just like yours :-)

Such a lovely card, it must cheer anyone up who is feeling under the weather.
Cats always look like they have absolute right to be where ever they are, don't they.

Hi Christine
Lovely card today. The rectangle dies are an unusual shape. I love these Graphic 45 papers.
I also use my older die a lot especially my Floral ovals, circle nesties and scalloped circle nesties. The circle sets where main reason for purchasing a Cuttlebug all those years ago. Little did I know the addiction it would lead too.
Love the picture of Pixle - don't they grow quick!! A beautiful addition to your Christmas dinner table!
Hope your first day back at work went ok.

Hi Christine, A lovely card, I didn't think I would like these Stationery dies, but you have certainly changed my mind.
Loving the piccie of Pixel on your Christmas table, typical cat eh haha, my how he has grown, he looks gorgeous (I had to whisper that, as my Lizzie is listening hahaha).
Lots of love from Patricia xx
