Friday Die Day

Hello friends

It's Friday Die Day and this week I've featuring the rather lovely
Luscious Labels One
Photo colouring is a little askew this week, I was creating FDD between
moving out of the shop into the cabin and photos were taken in all different places
and lighting wasn't great!

This is how this die set looks cut/embossed.
Four very pretty die cuts all based on the classic Labels One shape.
I chose to cut/emboss the largest one in white and also some Layered Poinsettias.
Inked through the die and shaped the petals.
The Poinsettia constructed, two little fern-like leaves from Foliage and also a jingle bell
attached to some silver ribbon.
Jingle Bells are available in the shop here (definitely getting festive!)
Attached the die cut to my card base with Crafty Foam Tape.
Attached all the other elements and a fresh looking Christmas card.
It is such a pretty label shape and you can also combine Labels One
to create further layers.
I'm loving the bell - it jingles each time the card is opened!

I'm heading off to Coventry tomorrow in readiness for CHA UK Retailer Training Day
on Sunday - my first event as a Spellbinders Ambassador.
I've been organising all the kits and I will be sharing photos of those soon,
David Ruprecht, VP of Sales at Spellbinders is flying over (he's my boss!)
it promises to be a great day!

Take care friends - have a wonderful weekend.

Finished and Technology!

Hello friends

I am thrilled to say the cabin is virtually finished, all the electrical work is done,
I think I'm organised with all my stock and craft room bits and bobs.
My desk ready to go.
Look - I even have one empty unit space...not for long I'm sure!
I am delighted with how it looks.

I just need to keep it this tidy!

Today's crafty offering - a festive card featuring Frosty Forms.
I made this card a couple of years ago - in the move I've come across lots of projects
I had forgotten about.  On this card I have used the waxed paper from the deer
to create a shadow.
Layered Poinsettia features too - seems I've always been a fan!
Other news....
my desktop computer has given up the ghost so I'm back to managing on
a laptop at the moment, I do miss a big clunky keyboard!
Living with two sons who are both very computer minded I am now totally confused
as to what PC to buy - I will need to make a decision soon!

Take care friends and stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

Getting there and winners!

Hello friends

More progress with filling the cabin to bursting!
Today should see it completely finished (minus rug..that's on order!)
I can then get down to some serious crafting and restocking the website
with some lovely goodies.

Now the important stuff - winners of the Halloween dies.

Firstly....Lucycat - congratulations you win the Candy Corn and
Carole Z wins Jack O Lanterns.
Just drop me an email and I will pop them in the post to you.

I have been so remiss in sharing craft projects with you, I did make a speedy
Christmas card using the Picture Perfect die, (these will be back in stock soon).
I went for a dark blue background instead of black to represent night-time.
There are tiny gemstones on the branches and chimney pots but photographing in
daylight doesn't show those so well.
I love the classic Labels One background shape of this die.

Take care friends - I'm back soon.

Proud and Progress!

Hello friends

What a hectic but brilliant weekend!  I truly hope you all had a good one too.

Firstly, we had a fantastic evening at the Youth Achievement Awards.
We got all dressed up ...

It's been a long time since I put on a dress, my legs are still in shock!
And delighted and proud to announce that Elliott received an award -
Phenomenal Potential, it means that even though he took a break from studying
for treatment he has now returned to college and his future looks bright.
It was so nice to spend time with many other families who have been through similar experiences,
it was all very positive and not a sad evening at all.
Huge thanks to The Royal Marsden and charities that put on such a fantastic event.

Then Sunday...the big move!
Just a few items to find homes for.
The shelving units going in.
The beginnings of my work desk.
My parents, sister, nephew and Elliott helped enormously,
it still isn't quite finished but will be soon and I look forward to sharing those
photos with you.  Grateful for that extra hour!

Take care friends - back soon.

A Crafty Space

Hello friends

While I am recreating my new craft space I thought I would share photos of
Toni's beautiful crafty cabin.

This is what Toni has to say about her special place...

"My hubby fully insulated the building with MDF and insulation and we had full electrics fitted too so it's very cosy in the winter and beautiful 'to be in the garden' in the summer. It also means I can just shut the door on the mess if I'm in the middle of a project and don't want to clear it all away."

I'm hugely impressed with how much Toni has put into her space,
so tidy and organised - it has really inspired me to utilise every surface, put up shelves etc.
Also love the outside lights... I think I 'need' some of those.
Thank you Toni for sharing your brilliant space with us all.

It's not too late to share your craft space/room/cabin/dining table!
Please send along your photos to hope-chances@live.co.uk

More sorting today and then dressing up for the Youth Achievement Awards
event this evening.  It's a lot of work getting togged up - hair, nails, altering my dress -
good job I don't do posh often!

Take care friends - enjoy your weekend.

Friday Die Day...Giveaway!

Hello friends

This Friday is a Die Giveaway Day and as Halloween is looming
I have themed dies to send out to two lucky winners.

Jack O Lanterns

and Candy Corn

Really simple, just make sure you are a blog follower and leave a comment.

If you celebrate Halloween it would be nice to know what you do.
When the boys were younger they used to dress up and go trick or treating,
they would come home grinning from ear to ear with their goodies -
there were a lot more treats than tricks!

Have a good weekend, as soon as I'm organised normal FDD's will resume!

Take care friends.

Cabin...Fever!

Hello friends

It's been a busy few days and I'm a little relieved to be going to my City  job today and tomorrow
for a little rest!
The shop is emptying, it has been a case of loading up cars and ferrying it into the cabin.
Everything has been overseen by Bella!
Before the dividing wall goes up (between stock room and craft room) we thought it best
to see how much space was needed for each.
This is the stock room end, still quite a lot to go on those shelves!
The big move (my craft room!) is on Sunday but before then Elliott and I
have a special event to attend....

Elliott has been nominated for a Youth Achievement Award so we are getting all
dressed up for a evening out.  Elliott has a new suit and I purchased a dress!
Any of you who know me will appreciate that is a rare thing -
my shopping is normally craft related only!
I will be taking photos.

Take care friends, I will be back soon and normal craft blogging will resume shortly :)

Winner and Spiders!

Hello friends

Today announcing the winner of September's Charity Kit!
Rush and check your tickets - the winning number is ....

If you are the lucky winner - congratulations!
Please drop me an email - hope-chances@live.co.uk
A parcel of goodies will be sent out including dies, stamps, adhesive and more!
There are still some September kits left just in case you would like to purchase,
details are here :)

So...spiders!?
Kitty asked yesterday whether the cabin might be a haven for spiders...
well I'm pretty sure it is going to be spider free, all the windows and the door are double glazed,
but just in case one or more decide to join me I truly do not mind,
I'm not at all scared of spiders.
If it were frogs...you wouldn't see me for dust!

In the midst of organising, sorting, packing and general manic(ness!) there are
some things that just cannot be ignored - Bella walking!
Yesterday morning the weather was lovely, in the woods the sun was shining
through the branches creating a dappled effect,
the paths are strewn with colourful leaves and conkers and,
Bella will testify to this - we espied 6 squirrels!
Bella-walking puts me in a happy mood and she's always delighted too!

Take care friends, I will be back soon...
(once I emerge from packing boxes!)

In the Pink!

Hello friends

Hope you all had a good weekend, a busy one here.

A project for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L today, a pink card to
commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I've used the 3D Foam Hearts for the central feature.
The very pretty papers are Graphic 45 - Botanical Tea.
All the details are here and if you can please leave a comment on the Crafty Power Blog
I would be really grateful.

The wood treating of the cabin has begun...
it is nice and natural.
Vinyl flooring purchased and that is also down, more photos to follow.
The next task is moving stuff out of the shop into the cabin, the expression
"quarts into pint pots" springs to mind!

Take care friends, I'm back soon.

All the details are listed here.
There are options already in place but you can always tick 'other' and state your choice...
just thought that might be worth mentioning...  a little cheeky of me! :)

This is the 10th year of the awards and voting closes on 21 December.
Have a lovely weekend, I'm packing, sorting flooring, making up kits and and and...
just a tiny bit busy but enjoying it.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

A revisit today, if you could see the muddle my craft room is in I'm sure you
will understand!
This week I am featuring Gold Corners One from the Imperial Gold dies.
This is how they look cut/embossed.
I chose to cut/emboss 8 scallop corner die cuts from red cardstock.
Here is the tag - please note the splodge-like marks are the paper design - I didn't spill my coffee!
Applied some liquid adhesive to the straight corners.
Layered one on top of the other but opened up the scallop edge to create a little pocket.
Layered with Gold Labels Four.
Arranged my corner 'pockets' to create a flower.
A little flower, pearl and lace ribbon added to finish.  You can of course stamp/add a sentiment,
my main focus was using the corners as a flower.
A close up picture.
I have a set of these dies in my Pre-Loved shop department, don't forget to check that out -
more dies being uploaded.

Have a great weekend, the forecast says 22 degrees - I'm slightly weather obsessed
at the moment as want to wood treat and move into my cabin!

Take care friends.
