Hello friends
Yippee!!
I have something new to share with you today.
In this month's edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine I was asked
to create some cards using the bonus papers that come free with the magazine.
This month it is flowers and butterflies - lovely!
I put together this very simple card using A2 Scalloped Borders One for the
base, it really adds interest to the design.
The remainder of the card is patterned paper, ribbon, silk flowers and a stamped sentiment.
It has a fresh summery look about it.
As mentioned before, I always adhere the bonus papers to some cardstock to give them
some 'body' and they die cut beautifully.
Thank you for all the comments regarding our medical dramas at home.
Elliott's diabetes is a rare disorder where the system used by the body to regulate its
water levels becomes disrupted. It means he is permanently thirsty and could quite
honestly drink by the bucketful!
Truly hoping the medication works quickly for him.
Also I've got quite a few of you intrigued regarding Mitchell and his new job....
I will have more news on this at the beginning of the week :)
Thank you all again - your comments are always a great comfort to me.
Take care.

Ooh, pretty card Christine, right up your street! Poor Elliot, I know we are told to drink more than we generally do, but that is excessive. Hope they can help him soon.

Morning Christine,What a lovely card! I had wondered if I could use the border dies to provide this type of interest both to cards and inserts. Seems you can so they too will go on my wish list. Have not thought about sticking the free papers from the mag to card before using them. They have always seemed so flimsy that I basically haven't bothered with them. I will give this a go. Live & Learn! Enjoy today. Gemma xx

Good morning Christine,
I love the card you have made with the free papers that I usually totally overlook( I don't really like the paper that they print them on) too shiny!! But you seem to transform them into something beautiful!
Do you have those border dies in stock at the moment? I would very much like them!
Hope you are managing to have restful weekend!
Love and hugs,
Sandra (Riley) xxxxx

I guess that's why you're the demonstrator and card maker and I follow behind. I'd never have thought of that with the freebie papers which are often lovely colours but horrible to work with. Intrigued for Mitchell's news and hopeful with regard to Elliott. Even if his condition is rare they must have seen it before and it won't be long before it's sorted. All the best xxMargaretxx
