Hello friends
Today sharing with you one of the cards that I hope to demo on Create and Craft
on Saturday. I say 'hope' because I've learned not to plan too much,
things are always subject to change...
It details a heart - very appropriate for today - Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
It details a heart - very appropriate for today - Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
The featured dies are Gold Elements, Gold Circles One and a little Classic Scalloped Heart.
The 'Imperial Gold' dies are truly special - they have intricate cuts, piercing,
embossing and debossing details. Because they are so intricate Spellbinders are introducing
a Junior Magnetic Placement Plate to help your metal dies stay in place.
These are not launched in the US until next month and will then be winging their way to the UK.
Until then...please do not despair, I do not have a magnetic plate but I've been able to
achieve brilliant results, just take a little time, remember wax paper and holding your dies in place
with removable tape is a great help.
My shows on Saturday are 11am and 4pm - so far I've completed a variety of demos and
samples but hope to make more before I go.
The elusive paper.....
I can now confirm it is Prima and from the Romantique Collection.
I cannot take the credit for finding this out - it is all thanks to Sandra! I'm very grateful to you.
I have discovered that it can still be purchased here although I suspects stocks may be low as
this is quite an old paper.
So pleased you all like my project for the class on Sunday, I hope to transfer
my classes into kits, it is something I've been thinking about for a while now and
I've had quite a few requests so I will keep you posted. Love the idea of video streaming,
my youngest son keeps telling me to do this! I'm considering having a permanent
tripod affixed over my workdesk that I can just clip my video camera into...it's on the list of jobs to do!
Finally...distressing - that's on a project not me!
The papers I'm using on Sunday already look slightly distressed, but otherwise I'm a fan
of subtle distressing! I'm not brave enough to go too mad so I tend to use a
distressing tool, blending tool and inks, applying lightly at first and then building up until I'm
happy with the look. I may try to show this on air on Saturday.
Also I hit 400 followers yesterday - welcome to my new followers,
by way of celebration I intend to have a bit of giveaway soon so keep your eyes peeled!
Take care friends.

Love the cars Christine. I will have to set the recorder for the shows as I will be in Kent ready for Sundays class. It does unfortunately look like I'll have to add even more dies to my wish list!! I like the idea of a magnetic plate - I'll keep my eyes open for that. It is annoying when the dies move - for me it's more likely to happen when I am embossing so I hope it's base plate size. Have a good day. Ju
Pretty card Christine, I love those corner dies, and congrats on reaching 400 followers.
Hi Christine, love your card, these dies look interesting but will have to wait for another day unfortunately. Like the magnetic plate idea though. TV set up to record you shows, hope your class goes well on Sunday and yes like the idea of kits.

Beautiful card today, I saw these dies on C&C yesterday, and that corner one was my favourite, not sure about the others yet, but often say that until I see some samples made up!

Morning Christine. Lovely card. The new gold dies are beautiful.
I do have a magnetic shim from years ago with the original Spellbinders wizard machine... Wonder if its the same. I also have some of the original spellbinder dies that came in their own padded case!

Good Morning Christine, Lovely card today as usual. Like others I am not sure about these new dies. I have ordered a set from C&C and will wait to see how interesting they are when they arrive. With hindsight I loved the little swing dies but it didn't come across that well on the web. Could be one for the future! Have a lovely day Christine.
Lovely card Christine xx hazel
